Volunteers with URI partner Harvest of Hope Africa unload the truck recently delivering a greenhouse to GFE Center. Red-tape and restrictions because of the Covid-19 pandemic delayed the long-anticipated delvery. The next step is sorting and measuring for assembly.

Greenhouse parts are sorted and measuring is done to obtain proper spacing for assembly. Once seedling are planted and crops grow to maturity, fresh fruit and vegetables will be provided for 400 orphaned and at-risk children housed at GFE Center.

The beginning of the frame has been erected. Because western Kenya has experienced torrential rains during this rainy season, construction of the greenhouse may be delayed. If dry weather prevails, the building should be assembled within one week.
