Off The Streets, Free from Life of Drugs, Gangs and Prison
Off the streets and now in their new home—the Guy Earle Boy’s Home, these Kenyan boys are happy to have a place to call their own. However, they are crowded together, sleeping on the floor. URI is partnering with Harvest of Hope Africa to provide each one of them with a bed so they may get a good night’s rest and have a sleeping space to call their own.
These boys and young men moved into their new building in February, but just like when the girl’s (who reside nearby) first moved into Mama Sandy’s House, they must wait patiently for us to provide them with beds. The girls now have bunk beds and the boys are looking forward to the day—hopefully in the not too distant future—when they too will enjoy a comfortable bed of their own.
These young men deserve to be given opportunities for education and employment. But first they must have safe shelter which they now have at Guy’s House. Secondly, they need a comfortable night’s sleep so they may awaken each day feeling refreshed and ready for school and their studies.
Please consider a generous donation so we can provide beds for these Kenyan boys and young men. Each bunk bed with mattress and linens costs about $180, We need to raise enough funds to purchase 56 beds,
With a good night’s rest, food and education they have hope for a brighter future, free from drugs, gangs and prison.
