These Kenyan girls now have a safe place to live

Mama Sandy’s House, our URI dormitory for orphaned and at risk girls is now a reality. 100 excited girls moved into their new home on January 7th, 2019.

Construction of the girl’s dorm building was started within ten days of the sudden passing of URI board member, humanitarian Sandy Earle.

Sandy broke ground earlier in 2018 for the Guy Frederick Earle Center—a campus named after her late husband Guy, a former Marine and Vietnam veteran who died from complications due to exposure to Agent Orange.

Sandy’s dream—shared and funded by United Response International—was to eventually house 1,000 orphaned and at risk Kenyan children—providing them with food, clothing and education—giving them a hope and future.

With good health and education, these children will have a better chance of becoming successful adults who may someday lead and change their nation.

We cannot provide shelter and education for all of the orphaned and street children of Kenya, but we can help many of them through a united response with Harvest of Hope Africa and other caring partners in the United States and around the world.
